Tyler Seely was born on April 5, 1982, in Hartford, CT. He's lived in Old Saybrook, CT, for his entire life thus far, graduating from Old Saybrook High School in 2000. He started playing the fife when he was 8 years old and was part of a local Fife & Drum organization for many years. He took up the guitar in his early teens and immediately jumped into writing songs with scott, with whom he started The Occupant Load, his first band. He played guitar in a fledgling ska band for a brief time called No Parking Monday, and took a few jazz guitar lessons on the side, but rock music has always been his true love.
