Special “Preview” Show

doublethink’s next show will be at Up Or On The Rocks in Hartford, CT, on February 6th. This show will be a special “preview” show where the band will only be playing new, unreleased material. We guarantee a dark, angry, bewildering performance. Show starts at 9:30 and it is 21+. Check the Shows page for more details.

Huge End-Of-Year Show

Our upcoming show at The Space on December 12th will be our final show for the year and most likely our final show for a few months. It will be special in a few ways:

 

-The merchandise deal we were going to do back in August will be done at this show. That means that every piece of merch we have from CD's, to shirts, to stickers, to whatever, will be sold at a "pay what you want" rate. Just pick what you want, give us what you think it's worth, and it's yours! Get some holiday shopping done.

 

-We will be playing a few new songs never before played live, as well as a few songs from Creating The Creator we haven't played in a while, and one even older song that has only been played live once or twice. Should be a fun set!

 

-Our good friends Roman Traffic will be at this show putting on a sure-to-be-stellar performance. This is their first CT show (as far as we know at least) so you need to make them feel welcome!

 

So don't miss this special show! See you then.

More MTV Plays

This may be starting to get redundant, but doublethink was played on MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins AGAIN last nite. That makes three episodes and four total song appearances so far! This week it was once again “You Think We’re In Love?” from Seeing Red. Tune in next week to see if we get played again! MTV Plays More DT

As previously reported, MTV used a doublethink song in the season premier of their reality show Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins. Well last nite they used not one but TWO doublethink songs in episode 3 of the series. “California Doll” and “Going Nowhere” both were featured in the episode entitled The Road To Ruins. Look for “Going Nowhere” at the 10:30 mark and for “California Doll” at the 17:48 mark (“California Doll” plays for over a minute!). Watch it here. Buy your copy of Seeing Red here.

doublethink Played On MTV

doublethink made their national television debut last nite...sort of. “You Think We’re In Love?” from their EP Seeing Red was played in the debut episode of MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins. Look for it by clicking here...at the 3:20 mark in the episode, where the host is introducing himself to the teams, you can hear the first verse and chorus of the song play underneath.
